Teri Tess, Consulting Finance Director

Teri Tess joined the VRS financial administration staff in August of 2015. She has over 40 years of experience in the financial industry working for State & Federal sponsored agencies (UAF, Alaska Job Corps), construction, housing management and tax preparation.  Ms. Tess spent several years working for CPA firms in the Mat-Su Valley while finishing her BBA in Accounting at UAA.  Teri worked for 9 years as housing/financial manager for five housing projects at Behavioral Health Services of Mat-Su Inc. (now Mat-Su Health Services Inc.) prior to the properties being turned over to Valley Residential Services.

She worked for six years as Accounting Manager for a general construction contractor in Palmer.  She worked five years for Alaska Job Corps in Palmer as Staff Accountant.  Teri spent 10 years as Treasurer to the Alaska State Horseshoe Pitchers Assn, 11 years as Board Member & Treasurer of the Alaska Coalition on Housing and Homelessness.  Currently, she serves on the board of directors for Mat-Su Health Services Inc.
